VTG 1973 'Serenity Birds' Original Gina Lombardi Batik on Muslin

$500.00

This lovely statement piece is an original batik on muslin by notable artist, Gina Lombardi.

This is not a block print. Which means there were no others produced. Also, I contacted the artist who said she no longer works in batik so there will be no other new batiks of hers to be had ever again.

Ms. Lombardi Bratter told me this is one of the first batiks she ever did back in the early 70s. Her inspiration was the King Tutankhamun exhibit which was traveling the country at the time.

The back still bears the tag of Greg Copeland and is dated 1973. The artist told me he was her framer and agent at the time.

The piece has been professionally framed and mounted on canvas. It measures 48" long and 40" tall.

It is not recommended this item be shipped, however I will be happy to consider doing so. If located in the DC Metro area, please contact me if you are not able to pick it up. I will consider free delivery depending on your location. Item is located in Chantilly, VA 20151.
